Sorry for the lateness, everyone. It’s been a rather crazy week.
This week’s robot is of my nephew Connor. It was his birthday recently, he’s 11 now. Kind of crazy to think about, since I was only 14 when he was born, just barely in high-school.
Anyways. He’s a champion karate kid, so I figured I’d draw him as a super awesome karate robot ninja warrior with sai’s for hands. Also, most “robot fighters” have some sort of rocket punch type of thing, so I thought “eff that ess, it’s boring” so I invented the patented Super Rocket KickTM!

Sorry to disappoint, but this week my laptop decided to give up the ghost. I don’t know what happened, I just shut it down one night, and the when I tried to boot it back up, the screen wouldn’t come back on. It seemed to boot fine, though, still made the startup noise, and all the keyboard keys still worked, volume buttons made noise. I brought it to the Apple store, and they confirmed that it’s either the logic board or the video card, which they are replacing. If there is anything else wrong with it, they’ll find that too. Thankfully, I’ve been very good about backing up files, so if they do replace the hard drive, I’ll be fine. The nice viking-looking man who helped me assured me it would be around 5-7 days before I get my laptop back, so next week’s robot should be able to be done.
Again, sorry to disappoint. If I get my laptop back sooner than expected, I’ll throw this week’s robot up before the end of the week. Also, if you’re looking to celebrate president’s day today, I did draw a robot abraham lincoln you could check out.

Welcome to my latest project. This blog will be chronicling my adventures of imagining people as robots. Every week I’ll be posting a new robot friend for everyone to enjoy. Each robot will be inspired by someone that I know and drawn in a style that I think would be suiting for that particular type of robot/situation, while still trying to keep my “voice” in the illustration. The comic will always be above, with it’s title/description in the box below, while my blog posts (such as this one) fall just below it.

This is the first post, marking the unofficial launch of the site. The “official” launch will happen tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM when the first illustration goes up. After that the site will update every Monday for the time being, with an additional day of updates possibly added in the future if I can keep up the pace.
